I (mrs imran) never planned to become a jeweler before. Never. Even though, I always want to run my own business, but to run a jewelry business was something that never came across my mind. Initially, I was about to start a clothing, handbag or make up business since I am a part time shopaholic and this is the thing that I do best. But later I realized that it is really hard for me to part with items that I wanted to sell. Silly it may sounds perhaps but it’s true. So I decided to stop.
   

One day when my sister told me that she had just finished attending a beading class and wished to start a home base business soon, I was so excited to help her to sell her piece. Nonetheless, I noticed that market competition for those types of jewelries are quite tough. There are so many talented crafters out there that also selling the same stuff. Therefore, finally my sister and I decided to enter the market with something that new, unique, fresh and uncommon among Malaysian, which is Wire Wrapped Jewelry.

 

We actually are always awed with creations from famous designers such as Eni Oken, Lisa Niven and many more. For the time being most of our creations are inspired by pieces invented by many designers, we are at present though, slowly trying to invent our own masterpieces.

 

We are still concentrating in making stringing jewelry though we prefer to do wire wrapped jewelry. We decided to concentrate on both equally since there are always demands for both type of jewelry.

 

After sometimes, I felt that I’m quite confident already to start my own jewelry business with less aid from my sister. Thus, I continuously experimenting making jewelry one after another. My beloved husband act as my advisor and I forced him to tell me the truth about my jewelry so that I could rectify anything that isn’t in place. Day by day, I’m become quite competent in making jewelry and with the raise of my competency level, thereby the born of Narmi Jewelry.

 

My husband and I, better known as Mr & Mrs Imran on this cyberspace is now a proud owner of Narmi Jewelry and we hope that all of you out there could continuously give us infinite support. At least that’s what makes us stronger to go on.
